Help Us Double Our Impact for Foster Youth

Hello Reader,

As we step into spring, we’ve been reflecting on how far our youth have come and how much of that growth is possible because of people like you. You’re part of a community that believes foster youth deserve more than a roof over their heads. They deserve love, stability, skills, and a future they can believe in.

And because of that belief, incredible things are happening.

Impact You’ve Helped Make Possible

A powerful spotlight on our youth

WINK News recently aired a beautiful story about our transitional housing program .They believed in it so much that they upgraded it to a promoted feature and aired it multiple times. Since then, our inbox has been full of people who want to see good things happen for foster youth in Charlotte County.
You can watch the story anytime on our website www.SouthernCrossCampus.org .

A graduation worth celebrating

Next month, one of our young men will walk across the stage to receive his high school diploma (and he’s doing it on the honor roll). His hard work and determination are a reminder that when youth feel safe and supported, they rise.

A story of transformation

Last May, a young man came to us at age 20. His caseworkers had nearly given up on him, convinced he wouldn’t move forward. But he proved everyone wrong. In one year, he:

  • Got a job at Ollie’s — and kept it
  • Was offered a management position
  • Completed all of his GED tests on his own
  • Earned his GED
  • Got his driver’s license
  • Bought his own convertible
  • And now, he’s preparing to start college

He’s even considering leaving our program soon — not because he’s struggling, but because he’s outgrown us. That’s the goal. We are incredibly proud of him. These are the kinds of stories your support makes possible.

Now We Have a Chance to Multiply That Impact

From noon on April 15th to noon on April 16th, Southern Cross Campus Inc will participate in the 2026 Giving Challenge, presented by the Community Foundation of Sarasota County.

This year’s theme is “Be The One.”
For us, that means:

#BeTheOne who builds brighter futures for youth.

Here’s why this challenge matters so much:

Your gift, whether it’s $10, $25, or $100, helps foster youth know they are loved, supported, and capable of building a future they’re proud of.

And if you invite a friend to give too, you multiply that impact even further.

You're Helping Us Turn Houses Into Homes

Every young person who walks through our doors deserves to feel safe, valued, and believed in. You help make that possible. Thank you for being part of this family and for standing with us as we continue building a future where foster youth can thrive.

With gratitude,
Southern Cross Campus Inc

P.S.

Remember the Giving Challenge is only open for 24 hours, and gifts must be made through our official link to qualify for the match. Mark your calendar now so you don’t miss the window.
